I love your sound! As a middle Tennessean who grew up with Bluegrass and old timey Appalachian mountain music, this is just a delicious remembrance for my ears and brain. It’s like listening to George, the Bluegrass Show on Vandy’s campus station. They always played “The Awful Dreadful Snake” each show. You have captured that same pathos, and your fiddling, picking, thumping, and beautiful vocal harmonies are spiritually uplifting to me. Two big thumbs up from this MAW fan! I am eternally grateful to Dr. and Ms. Cole for turning me on to you wonderful musicians. They gave me a copy of “Advice for the Young and Foolish” Wonderful!Kansas? Are you sure you aren’t from Johnson City, Tennessee? I mean, shouldn’t y’all be playing tubas and such in a Polka band? Just kidding.
Oh, the accordion in “Betray My Trust” is delightful! I can’t wait to hear it in your other cd’s which I will be ordering soon. If it’s not there, please consider using it again. Not on every tune, no, but again.
I hope to catch you live and in concert soon! Keep on making that beautiful old timey music!

Thank you so much for the kind words! The accordian player is the wonderful Sue Ashline, and she does appear on our second CD, Pit of Desire. Twice! I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as you enjoyed the first. Hope to see you in person sometime as well!
