MAW formed as a band in 2006 in Lawrence, Kansas. Rumor has it MAW stands for morphine and whiskey; they’re not saying one way or the other. But they do play old fiddle tunes and holler out songs, both traditional and original, about morphine, mines, murder, chewing gum, and chickens. "Advice To The Young And Foolish is old-time music with a touch of originality that teems with enthusiasm and mirth." -Les McIntyre, Bluegrass Unlimited "Judging by their song content, you wouldn’t want to let the women of MAW anywhere near your kids, husbands, or liquor cabinet." -Richard Gintowt, lawrence.com Contact them at listentoyourmaw [at] gmail.com. |
